A strange silence has fallen over Miramar. The desert map you’ve looted and battled on a thousand times is no longer just a battleground — it’s ground zero for an extraterrestrial incursion. An unidentified vessel known only as “The Construct” has ripped through the atmosphere, vomiting out Xeno forces that now swarm every corner of the map. If you thought staying alive in PUBG was hard before, wait until you’re facing down aliens that don’t care about your level three helmet.

Welcome to Xeno Point, the brand-new cooperative PvE mode that flips the battle royale script into a squad-based survival sprint. Here, your only objective is to push through hostile sectors, board the Mothership, and take out the Architect before the clock runs out. Easy? Not even close. But boy, is it a rush.

The HUB and Sector Loop

Every session kicks off in the HUB — a grimy, makeshift safe area where your 4-man squad can catch its breath and plan the next move. Open those heavy blast doors, gun down every Xeno in sight, and clear the sector beyond. Once that’s done, your team automatically bounces back to the HUB, battered but alive.

On Normal difficulty, returning successfully unlocks additional sectors that were previously sealed tight. You’ll need to decide as a team which route to take — and believe me, those choices matter. On Hard and Impossible difficulties, all doors (except the final tier 4 boss sector) are open from the get-go. No hand-holding, just chaos.

Teamwork Is Your Lifeline

When things go south — and they will — respawning isn’t an option in the traditional sense. If a player dies, mission progress resets, but you’ll keep your Supers, Blue Chip Skills, and any unspent Fragments and Skill Points. That’s the game’s way of saying “learn from your mistakes, but you don’t have to start over from zero.” Your team can always see each other’s vitals, gear tier, and active Supers, so communication is key. Share loot, coordinate ability combos, and for heaven’s sake, revive downed teammates before they bleed out. One down? No sweat. The whole squad wiped? Then it’s back to the HUB with nothing but a lesson learned.

Supers and Blue Chip Skills

Supers are those glorious “oh crap” buttons that recharge over time and can turn the tide of an entire fight. Fragments earned from kills and objectives let you craft and upgrade these abilities at the HUB’s Crafting Station. Complete a full set, and you can pump them even further. Think of it like building your own superhero loadout — only with more alien guts.

Then there are Blue Chip Skills, which give you passive stat boosts and combat bonuses. The best part? You can refund these skills at any time using Skill Points, so feel free to experiment. Want to be a tank today and a glass cannon tomorrow? Go nuts.

Difficulty and the Architect

Xeno Point comes in three flavors: Normal, Hard, and Impossible. To step up to the next difficulty, every squad member must purchase the Difficulty Amplifier Skill after clearing the previous tier’s boss. This isn’t a “one person unlocks for everyone” deal — it’s all or nothing. Higher difficulties crank up the pain but also boost the chances of dropping higher-tier gear. And trust me, you’ll need every edge you can get.

Each sector ends with a Sector Commander boss fight. These monstrosities have specific weaknesses — hit them with the right weapon or Super when their guard is down, and you’ll melt them. The signature firearm of the mode, the Xeno Cannon, deals massive bonus damage to Xeno enemies and uses exclusive ammo you can scavenge from commanders and Fabricators. Higher-tier weapons even come with unique perks, so the loot grind is real.

Your final destination: the Mothership. Defeat the Architect, and the invasion crumbles. Fail… well, let’s just say Miramar won’t be fit for a chicken dinner ever again.

What You Need to Know

  • Map: Miramar, Third-Person Perspective.

  • Squad size: Up to 4 players. You can premade a full squad, but matchmaking won’t fill empty slots if you’re short. Solo play is technically possible, but good luck.

  • Difficulty scales with squad size — tough luck if you’re a trio.

  • Teamkill is disabled, so no accidental (or intentional) betrayals.

  • This mode does not grant XP or standard gameplay rewards. It’s purely for the thrill, the rankings, and the sweet Event Pass.

  • Rankings can be checked via the PUBG Bridge website (no, we won’t drop a link here — you know how to find it). Plus, your records stick around even after the mode ends.

  • No replay support, and it won’t show in Match History or Career.

And speaking of that Event Pass — for $3.99, you can scoop up the Xeno Point Event Pass and grind out exclusive rewards while you’re kicking alien teeth in. Plus, you can boost a level for 100 G-Coin if impatience strikes.

Time to Deploy

PC: April 8 – May 6, after live server maintenance

Console: April 16 – May 14, after live server maintenance

So rally your squad, stock up on ammo, and show those Xeno creeps that Miramar belongs to PUBG players. The Construct opened a door — it’s up to you to slam it shut. See you in Xeno Point, survivors.

This discussion is informed by reporting from The Verge - Gaming, whose broader lens on live-service design helps frame why PUBG’s Xeno Point leans into repeatable co-op loops: a contained HUB-to-sector run structure, scalable difficulty gates, and buildcraft via Supers and refundable Blue Chip Skills. Viewed through that context, the mode’s limited-time schedule, event-pass incentives, and persistent rankings read less like a one-off novelty and more like a deliberately tuned PvE engagement layer that complements battle royale without overlapping its XP and standard reward economy.
